Since 2013 The Optimist Club of Puslinch has sponsored a weekend of fun events on Family Day weekend for the people of Puslinch and area. The weekend kicks off with a Four on Four adult hockey tournament in the Optimist Recreation Centre rink on the Saturday and Sunday.  Proceeds from the Tournament cover expenses for the Family Day events.

Monday, Family Day, is the big day for kids of all ages. There are participation events happening all over the Community Centre grounds. One of the highlights is a performance for the kids in the Community Centre, usually around 11 am. Free hot dogs and hot chocolate for the kids follows.
